Just recently, DeMoN, Raven and eyyou join Mushi and Ohaiyo to finalize Team Fnatic’s Roster. I was really impressed with Raven’s play last season and would definitely be rooting for him next major. This change would push Mushi to the Mid role definitely, while Raven plays carry. Ohaiyo would be offlane while DeMoN and eyyou the supports.
As the new season approaches teams have been emptied out their rosters.
This is mainly due to the new “Roster Lock Process” valve released in August. After September 4th, all registered teams can send out invites to add old/new players to their roster. Once a player accepts the team invite he becomes a confirmed member of that team.
So what does this mean for players that make changes to their roster mid season?
When a roster change occurs, they basically forfeit their chance at a direct invitation to the Majors or Regional Qualifiers. A good example for this would be Team Secret last season where Universe left for EG and Bubla filled the position which then lead them no direct invite despite winning the Shanghai Major.
Forfeiting the direct invitation caused their demise since they had to fight up the Europe Qualifier and start in the Lower Bracket.
Team organizations should lock in their roster right away because rosters will be locked on September 18th and will remain locked until after the Fall Major!
