So I just finished watching the Apple Special Event right now and if I may say, there were a bunch of surprises.
- Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto unveals Super Mario Run for iOS
It looks like it’s going to be a Free to Download game from their Super Mario Run Website with some cash shop features of course. What free to play game nowadays doesn’t have them. The Official release will be in December this year.
Being a Nintendo Fan, I do feel excited and concerned at the same time.
Excited to see other Nintendo titles come out on mobile, although I doubt they would drop any flagship games like Super Mario World, Super Smash Bros, The Legend of Zelda or Mario Party. They would all be “Nintendized” clones of popular games on mobile. Mario Maker courses would be awesome tho!
I’m a bit concerned because it makes them look desperate. Are the console sales not doing good? Is the company in danger? Who knows?
- Pokémon Go is coming to the Apple Watch 2
I was discussing this with my buddy live online and told him that if the new Apple Watch had Pokémon integration, I would be sold. Literally seconds after it happened. I was going crazy in my seat!
If you guys remember this ugly thing months ago, before Pokémon GO’s release.
This looks so much better!
The Apple Watch 2 is a complete upgrade in hardware from the Apple Watch which includes built-in GPS and water proofing up to 50 feet.
It comes with distance tracking which is perfect for Pokémon GO egg hatching. The Eggs even hatch on your display with the full egg cracking animation! Pokéstops are easily claimed with a swipe when you are near. It even shows you what Pokémon are nearby!
Unfortunately, we still have to pull out our phones for capturing Pokémon but I guess the above makes up for it.

Just to get it out there, I have really been turned off by Apple due to how annoying iTunes can be. From transfering music files, videos etc. Which is why I have a Windows Phone. But due to Pokémon GO not being available on the Windows Phone platform I might just bite the bullet. Help!
