Good news Team GG!
It looks like Niantic Labs took a step in the right direction finally! Something I’m real excited about! Check out the new update below:
Pokémon GO updated to version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS
Trainers,
Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.
Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle.
We are still working hard on several new and exciting features to come in the future of Pokémon GO.
Minor bot fixes
This is something very familiar to people who play the traditional Pokémon games competitively. You may not know this, but not all Pokémon are alike stat-wise.
This update basically helps us distinguish if a Pokémon has bad-perfect base IVs (Individual Values). Each Pokémon has three 0-15 point IVs: ATTACK, DEFENSE and STAMINA and if you add these hidden IVs, you get your CP (Combat Power). Generally you want “perfect” IVs since this guarantees that when you hit LVL40 and fully power-upped your Pokémon, you have a stronger Pokémon than someone who didn’t care to have theirs checked.
I’m assuming they won’t give is the real “numbers” but give us some vague line saying that a particular IV is perfect. Something a long the lines of “Stats like those… They simply can’t be beat! That’s how I judge it.” or something similar.
I went ahead and found some images of the UI. I’m just sad that I couldn’t find any Team Valor’s Candela ones.
Looks pretty promising. Now I don’t have to check each Pokémon’s IV manually and grind up the weak ones lol!
